Welcome to Pure Invoices. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Our Service

Pure Invoices is a software platform that allows you to generate and share invoices. We are not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution.

  • Invoicing Only: We provide the tools to create professional invoices and estimates.
  • Payment Links: We allow you to display links to third-party payment providers (e.g., Venmo, PayPal, Cash App). We do not process these payments, nor do we hold funds on your behalf. All transactions occur directly between you and your client on those third-party platforms.
  • No Transaction Responsibility: We are not responsible for any payment disputes, refunds, or failed transactions that occur on third-party payment platforms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3. Your Responsibilities

As a user of Pure Invoices, you agree that:

  • Content Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you create, including tax rates, line items, and client details.
  • Legal Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring your invoices comply with the tax and legal requirements of your local jurisdiction. Pure Invoices does not provide tax or legal advice.
  • Link Sharing: You understand that "Magic Links" are public URLs. You are responsible for sharing them securely with your intended recipients.

4. Subscription and Fees

We offer both free and paid subscription plans.

  • Subscription Fees: Paid plans ("Pure Invoices Pro") are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via our payment processor (Stripe).
  • Transaction Fees: Pure Invoices charges 0% transaction fees on the payments you receive from your clients, as we do not process those payments. However, your chosen payment provider (e.g., PayPal) may charge their own standard fees.
  • Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions.

5. Intellectual Property & Data

  • Our IP: The Pure Invoices platform, logo, and code are owned by Pure Invoices.
  • Your Data: You retain ownership of the data you enter (client lists, invoice details). You grant us a license to store and display this data solely to provide the Service to you.
  • Client Data: You represent that you have the right to enter your clients' information into our system. We act as a "Data Processor" for this information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our Services for:

  • Illegal or fraudulent activities.
  • Generating invoices for prohibited goods or services.
  • Transmitting malicious code or viruses.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PURE INVOICES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

WE EXPLICITLY DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR ANY DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS REGARDING PAYMENTS, NON-PAYMENT, OR THE QUALITY OF GOODS/SERVICES YOU PROVIDE.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, particularly regarding fraudulent use or illegal activity.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, International , without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in our local jurisdiction.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
