Managing Clients - Pure Invoices Docs

Organize your business with a simple, powerful client rolodex.

Pure Invoices helps you stop re-typing the same addresses and email addresses over and over.

The Client List

The Clients tab shows all the businesses and individuals you work with. From here, you can see their contact details and a history of all invoices and estimates you’ve sent them.

Adding a Client

You can add a client in two ways:

  1. Directly: Click “New Client” in the Clients tab.
  2. On the fly: When creating a new invoice or estimate, select “Add New Client”.

Client Snapshots (Important!)

A unique feature of Pure Invoices is Data Snapshots.

If you update a client’s address today, your old invoices from last year will still show their old address. This ensures your historical records remain accurate for tax and accounting purposes.

If you need to update the address on a draft invoice to the client’s new address, simply re-select the client in the invoice editor.

Deleting Clients

If you no longer work with a client, you can archive them.

If you need to completely remove a client and all their associated data (Invoices and Estimates), you can use the Danger Zone in the client details view. Because this action is permanent and deletes financial records, you will be asked to type a confirmation string.
